According to DIN 51524, the A11VLO pump is designed for operation with HLP mineral oil. For environmentally acceptable hydraulic fluids or fire-resistant, water-free hydraulic fluids (HFDR/HFDU), refer to data sheets 90220, 90221, and 90222 respectively​​.

The nominal pressure is 350 bar (5100 psi), and the maximum pressure is 420 bar (6100 psi)​​.

The temperature should not exceed 115 °C (240 °F) at any point of the component. For cold start or warm-up phases, the fluid should be between –40 °C to –25 °C (–40 °F to –13 °F)​​.

These values vary by size. For instance, the input torque at drive shaft for size 110 is 1640 Nm (1210 lb-ft), and the through-drive torque is 960 Nm (708 lb-ft)​​.
