Nachi VDR vane pump FAQ

The VDR pump features stable, highly efficient operation up to 14MPa, high-precision instantaneous response, silent operation even in high-pressure ranges, reduced power loss, and solid construction for durability .

Drain piping must be direct up to a point below the tank fluid level, with back pressure not exceeding 0.03MPa. For pumps with two drain ports, use the higher drain port after installation .

For pressures of 7MPa or lower, use ISO VG32 or equivalent (viscosity index of at least 90). For pressures greater than 7MPa, use ISO VG68 or equivalent .

The operating temperature range is 15 to 60°C. If the oil temperature at startup is 15°C or less, perform a warm-up operation at low pressure until the oil temperature reaches 15°C .

The discharge flow rate is decreased by clockwise rotation of the discharge rate adjusting screw and increased by counterclockwise rotation. Loosen the lock nut before making adjustments and re-tighten it after adjustment .

Suction pressure should be -0.03 to +0.03MPa, and the suction port flow rate should not exceed 2m/sec. Provide a suction strainer with a filtering grade of about 100 μm and a 25μm line filter for the return line to the tank .

The flow rate setting is at the maximum flow rate for the model as indicated in the catalog, and the pressure setting is as shown in the provided tables .

  •

Avoid pulley, gear, and other drive systems that impart radial or thrust load on the end of the pump shaft. The pump shaft should be oriented horizontally during installation. Ensure eccentricity with the motor shaft does not exceed 0.05mm and use a pump mounting base with sufficient rigidity .
